Hornbeams Go Green

The Hornbeams guesthouse in Sutton Village Hull has recently improved its carbon footprint by installing a solar hot water heating system by local company Solarwall Ltd.

The guesthouse is a spacious; five star no smoking bed and breakfast accommodation with a fair trade and environment friendly ethos.

David and Wendy Westwood proprietors decided to reduce their fuel bill and reduce their carbon footprint by installing a system of 7 solar panels which should provide up to 70% of their hot water free.

The installation was carried out in under three days and David Westwood commented that the “installation was carried out with the minimum of disruption and mess”

Solarwall are a registered installer under the Micro-generation scheme for solar hot water heating systems and can provide access to grants for all renewable technology for domestic and commercial projects
