THE INTRODUCTION OF THE FEED-IN-TARIFF (FIT)
All installations after the 1st April 2010 will be eligible for FITs as long as the installer is registered under the Renewable Obligation Order. Any installations pre 15th July 2009 are still eligible but will receive a lower FIT regardless of technology provided they are a qualifying installation.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
- A guaranteed premium payment for ALL the electricity produced for 25 years
- An enhanced payment for the electricity produced and exported back to the grid
- The payment will be TAX FREE and INDEX-LINKED on domestic use installations
