The trustees of Mrs Richardson's charity who are responsible for Richardsons Court, Bridlington are helping their tenants save money, keep warm and combat climate change by arranging for Solarwall, a York based energy efficiency company carry out cavity wall and loft insulation to the flats

Solarwall has been delivering a grant aided insulation scheme to owner occupiers in the East Riding of Yorkshire Council for the last six years

The majority of the funding for this scheme has been provided by npower who are anxious to fulfilll their energy committment

The work was completed within two days and has been organised by Pickering and Ferrens who manage this estate on behalf of the trustees

By insulating both cavity wall and increasing the loft insulation depths to the current minimum standard of 270mm the residents will not only benefit from a warmer environment but save up to 30% on their fuel bills.
