RYEDALE COUNCIL AND SOLARWALL LEAD THE WAY TO COMBAT CLIMATE CHANGE
Ryedale Council is leading the way to combat climate change and has insulated the council buildings in Malton using local energy efficiency company Solarwall Ltd. In an effort to reduce the heating bills of the buildings and create a warmer healthier building they are proving they are an energy efficient council and are supporting a local company.
The work was carried out over the Easter period to ensure that there was minimum disruption to staff and the general public. Solarwall's Health & Safety Manager and Technical Teams along with several instlallation teams ensured that the work went smoothly and was completed within the day.
Ryedale House is now well insulated and will benefit from the insulation by keeping the offices cool in summer and warmer in winter and will be able to reduce those escalating heating bills.
Ryedale District Council is already proving to be one of the leading authorities in the country for recycling and is ranked fifth in a top ten list of English councils that have the most improved recycling rates.So along with reducing carbon emissions of their own properties and helping the residents of Ryedale do the same the council is working hard to prove it is "doing its bit " to be environmentally friendly.
Solarwall now have available funding for all the residents of Ryedale District Council so that they too can benefit from cavity wall and loft insulation. Grants are now available on a first come first served basis and are not subject to income or status.
