01/11/2007 - NEW FUNDING JUST RELEASED
With the cold winter months approaching Solarwall Ltd have been successful in obtaining further funding from the utilities and the Local Authorities to reduce the price of cavity wall insulation.

Depending on which Local Authority area you live in , depends on the grant, however all prices are now less than £200 for cavity wall insulation for an average 3 bed semi detached house !

19/04/2007 - Easter Special Prices
Solarwall have secured addtional funding for homeowners to have their cavity wall insulation installed for as little as £229. These prices are now available in the Yorkshire area only.

In addition to this Solarwall have recently installed cavity wall insulation at the council offices of Ryedale District Council in Malton and have secured funding for the residents of Ryedale to offer the same Easter Special of £229 for cavity wall insulation for an average 3 bed semi house.

The funding is limited so it will be on a first come first served basis

12/01/2007 - Solar Hot Water Heating Grants
SOLARWALL AND SOLAR HOT WATER HEATING SYSTEMS

Solarwall are currently working with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council in a joint partnership funding arrangement with npower and the DTI to enable the residents to have Solar Hot Water Heating Systems installed at a reduced cost.

The grant is on a first come first served basis and for domestic installations already adequately insulated. £1000 is available off the fully installed price. The systmm offers a 20 year warranty and complies with BSEN 12975 parts 1 & 2. The cost for a standard domestic sized property with 2 panels is approximately £4200.

Solar water heating systems gather energy radiated by the sun and convert it into useful heat in the form of hot water. This reduces the impact on the environment by reducing carbon dioxide emissions by up to 1 tonne a year. The technology is well developed and the EST estimates that it can provide almost all your hot water during the summer months and 50-70% all year round.

Climate change is a global issue and is already affecting life in the East Riding, so the council have taken an important step in their strategy to help their residents with renewable energy systems. They are one of the few councils actively encouraging and assisting residents in combatting global warming.

Not on benefits? then you can still claim a grant for upto 70% of the cost of the insulation.For example a 3 bed semi house for cavity wall insulation would cost less than £125 depending on the funding and the area you are phoning from.

11/05/2004 - Grants available to all homeowners
Grants are now available to all homeowners for cavity wall and loft insulation regardless of status and income. The utility companies have been set high targets by the government to reduce carbon emissions. One the most cost effective ways they can achieve these targets is by offering grants to householders to have cavity wall and loft insulation installed as this achieves high fuel savings for the householder and reduces the amount of fuel used to produce the wasted energy.
Local authorities are also providing grants linked in with the utility companies and Solarwall are one of the registered contractors with various utility companies and local authorities that can provide grants for the insulation.

VAT has been reduced to only 5% on installed insulation measures and now there are grants of up to £335.
The eligibility depends on the type of heating you have in your home.
